Yes. The vast majority of climatic conditions require a water barrier in the facade due to the consequences of water penetration.
Condensation can form in exterior components at any time of the year from convection or vapor diffusion. A wall system must be structured in such a way to ensure that moisture from convection and diffusion is safely directed outside. The application of water barrier is necessary in all the Knauf Exterior Wall systems.
